E mail international meet results

The annual Oceania International E-mail tournament took place on Saturday. This is the second year in a row the club has posted a result in this meet which is coordinated by Paul Coffa from Oceania Weightlifting Federation. Club objective this year is to get at least one point (meaning a lifter is within the top 25 lifters on this day). The breakdown.

The meet served as a checkpoint for the state meet of next week, too. Looks as if the lifters should post good results for themselves at the state championships.

Brian, in the 94 class, hit 79/113(PR)/192(PR) for a two sticker day

Josh, in the 105 class and returning after a one year hiatus, hit 92/120/212. He did go 5 for 5 having to pass on his last CJ attempt. A sticker worthy CJ progression as he went from 105 to 120 in a single jump while following himself.

Keith, in the 56 class and fresh from 4th at nationals, hit 72/85/157 for a total 4 kilos more than last week!

Megan, given credit for being in the 63 class, hit 49(a PR)/62/111 narrowly missing her PR total of 113.

Ron, in the 69 class, fired off some explosive lifting hitting 80/90/170.

August 1, 2011, the results will be out and we will see if the club has arrived at the international level by getting that one point.
