Last year, not one point was scored by the club in the ZKC International Meet. The goal was set that we would like to get one point in the 2011 version, hosted by Paul Coffa and the Oceania Weightlifting Federation. How about this: 23rd in the WORLD!!!
That's right: 23rd. Clubs from the 5 continents who took part in this year’s tournament. 129 clubs, total. We don't, we don't, we don't mess around.
Megan: 27th in her weight class, just outside the top 25.
Josh: 13th in the world in the highly competitive 105 class, imagine if he had been in the 94...
Keith: 7th in the world in his weight class
Brian: 22nd in the world in the very competitive 94 class
Ron: 35th in the world in the huge 69 kilo class.
The club finished one measly point behind the Sandbox Club lifting out of the USA.
Congratulations to the lifters...great start to the fall training season!
